Lorne Football and Netball Club

Our Leadership Group

Great to see so many people supporting the club, on and off the track

Sam Stavenuiter – Coach

“We’ve set the bar high and our expectations are to go all the way. So we’ve set the bar as high as you can and that’s winning a premiership. All the signs are there to keep going forward and improving.”

Carly Enticott – Coach

“Whenever I have moved to a new town netball has always been an instant gateway to friends and fitness within the new community. This year at the netball courts we have a great enthusiasm for the season and welcome many new and returning players and their families.”

Ken Hosking – President

“There’s an underlying work ethic with the committee, coaches, football and netball players of ‘Not what the Club can do for me, but what can I do for the Club.’ I believe the catch cry ‘GO DOLPHINS’ will be heard loud and clear in 2016.”

About

Last Premiership 2013
Football and Netball Teams competing in the CDFNL

It's assumed that Lorne entered the Polwarth Association in approximately 1927-1929 along with Apollo Bay. Prior to these dates Lorne and Apollo Bay held matches amongst themselves. Isolation, poor roads and lack of transport seemed to be the main reason these 2 teams were so late in joining the Association. Some players had to be collected from Wye River and Eastern View before a full team could be assembled for the day.

As children, both Luke and I holidayed in Lorne with our families. We always dreamed of returning to raise our family. Some 17 years later we have raised 3 children, Cleo, John and Olivia and established our business. Most of all we feel it has been the best place to raise our kids.
